Hole 5 - Sunken Garden
"Sunken Garden" is inspired by an iconic location at Cranbrook House and Gardens. Located beyond the eastern wing of Cranbrook House, the sunken garden was originally a kitchen garden designed to lengthen the growing season for fruits and vegetables that fed all who lived and worked at the Cranbrook estate. Surrounded by walls of fieldstone, the center rows are now planted each spring with over 5,000 blooms in spectacular patterns and colors. Tucked away in the corner of the garden is a charming blue door - this hole has a mini-sized replica that's perfect for a photo-op! The crest, located at the top of the stairs, was designed by George Booth.
